"On the Roads of the Exodus"
A tool
for dialogue and
for meeting
"On the Roads of the Exodus" is a periodical that serves as a tool for dialogue and encounter among diversities. Like our community of secular Scalabrinian missionaries, it was born in Solothurn in a migratory context and therefore being "on the road" is part of its DNA.
From the very beginning, "On the Roads of the Exodus" has had an informative and above all formative character: it aims to give a voice to those who have none, to reflect together with readers and friends on how to live together in diversity in our societies, in the Church, and in the world, and how to interpret the events of our present day—and especially of migration—with the eyes of faith. The God of the exodus, in fact, writes history with us humans and wants to unite us into a single family.
...in a reference
of communion
It is a periodical that crosses borders and reaches young people, migrants, friends in many countries around the world. The editorial offices of the different editions are closely connected to each other from one ocean to another.
Before an issue reaches the reader, it has already traveled—virtually and actually—thousands of kilometers for translations, proofreading of texts, the final editing... in an exchange of communion.
Edition in four languages
The publication of "Sulle strade dell'esodo" began in 1975 in Italian, in 1981 in Portuguese.
This was followed by editions in German starting in 1986 and in Spanish from 2002.
